TD, what this could be is a bull spread (not a pretty picture). Buy the stock at 12.5 sell the 12.5 at 1.75 and buy the 15 at 1.0. Pocket the $0.75 instead of the $1.75 and profit small if lgnd doesn't move and profit big if lgnd is over 15 in 3 mo. Smart play for a stock like lgnd. Of course options are short term so if it goes to 30 you're going to retire the national dept. (if it goes to 30 short peanuts)
