We have tried that in the past and totally failed in Africa I have no opinion on this one, LB. Perhaps, we have learned. Perhaps, a relatively small US military presence could be leveraged into giving crucial support to a (preferable to us) local fraction - which may eventually succeed in bringing about that Freedom and stability. My point was that people who complained about our Imperialism and our interference in Iraq - an "independent country" - are so quick to demand from us just such an interference in a different location - when such an action fits THEIR "gestalt" about the world.
