You said PDP 11's were sold as power machines to solve DP departments problems? You must be kidding. Ever hear of IBM?

For your information PDP11's were the preferred UNIX machines of the 1970's. The PDP 11 itself was primarily used in scientific, technical, engineering applications. DEC got its start by producing a machine that could be placed in a lab at a cost within the budget of a university department. IT was called a mini-computer. Remember?
