Lizzie, Do you see any solutions for the outsourcing problem? I don't like it either, but it really seems like it us just free market economics doing its job. I don't expect Congress will do anything about this. By the way, this has all happened before to blue collar labor, and we let it go with the free market economics justification. I expect the same will happen this time with white collar workers. Outlawing outsourcing would probably be like a protectionist trade measure that works for a little bit in the short term, but in the long run takes companies out as they still have to compete in the global marketplace, and they simply can't do it if protectionist measures force them to keep their costs high. I look at H-1Bs and L-1 visas differently than outsourcing though. While it could also be argued that this is free market economics as well, I think a small measure of protectionism for American citizens is desireable. Unfortunately, however, curtailing visas while stepping up outsourcing may have the same net effect for many American workers---putting them out of a job. What are the solutions? Regards, Huey
