the Hispanic Broadcasting Corp. would give one firm as much as 80 percent of the Hispanic television and radio audience in many of the nation's large markets That's not variety. That's a monopoly, almost equivilent to Hitler's control of the media in prewar Germany. The only "variety" will be the safe kind, with pro-administration messages woven in. That's where the money is for the owners, paying the administration for their privileged position, and protection. In exchange they allow whoever the administration wishes into national programming. As a buddy of mine used to say while winning at cards, "Everybody wins, and its just that easy!"
