Compare that to Israel where it's illegal for Jews to marry non Jews, and where Christian missionaries are hardly welcome. Jews can't marry Jews in Israel due to Orthodox control of the weddings. Conservative Jews can't marry each other with a Conservative Rabbi either. Those who can't marry in Israel go to Cyprus and get married there. The Israeli government recognizes the marriages. Christian missionaries do their stuff all the time, it just creates friction when they try to convert religious Jews.
