Let me first disqualify myself (g) - have not voted for years, technical 8-5 job, education ditto etc. Still, I am homo politicus, just for the h*l of it - we (ie me and my siblings, physical and intellectual) were kept out of it, by our ostracized father(s) and by the communist environment etc...
That's one mighty paradigm to shift, Marcos... We are all created equal, but that happened a long time ago (g).

Re bigger picture, it looks like we just need to wait for the WWIII to get some Wilson (or Nelson, like in Wili;) make an honest next step. But, in the mean time, why try fixing what's not broken - and that's the capacity of UN to do peace keeping, WHO, UNICEF ...
One orthogonal thought: I have a distant cousin whose main topic is adding one more power to the legislative, iudicative etc triumvirate - the consultative branch. I admit, it sounds like something out of Star Wars or some mejlis. Or a polis back in the good ol' Greece. But, we all have to get ahead, dont we...
