Most of us Americans are good at fooling ourselves. I suspect many of us know liberating Iraq is in large part about ensuring the unobstructed flow of oil from Iraq in the future. We dont care if Iraqis get rich from their oil sales to us, we only care that it can be sold on the free market. Whether we admit this or not is another question. But do not threaten our American birth right of big gas guzzlers and cheap gasoline, as the punishment can be swift and severe.

Saddam has been a threat to Iran's oil supply, Kuwaits, Iraq's and SA's. Now we have taken him away as a threat, almost.
