If, OTOH, they were married in Vermont, they would be married in Washington.
What if they were married in Canada or Outer Slobovia? They'd still be married in Washington, no? If for no reason other than people simply don't have occasion to prove they're married. If you claim to be married, no one disputes it. I never had to show anyone my marriage license. And I lived in Washington for several years. |
