I guess it's the ole "It's the economy stupid" that rings with the average person.. But that's a very myopic view because if a society is bankrupt morally (avarice and ego coming first in their priorities), they will quickly become bankrupt economically.. Clean "core beliefs" are the correct route to all others..

On this vein, I watched Kerry smooze voters in New Hampshire today for a little while on c-span. He is a smooth smoozer, I admit, but NOT ONCE did I hear the word "Iraq" mentioned during the 20 minutes or so I watched it... The current number one issue in our country's moral health.. And NOT one word.. Well, he will not get my vote, even if he can pluck a few chords on a guitar.. :)
