Datakey, Inc. (Nasdaq: DKEY), a leading developer of smart card technology for simplifying e-business security, announced today that Gary Holland had resigned from the board of directors and his position as board chairman citing a potential conflict of interest with his other business activities. Gene Courtney, who has served on the Datakey board for eight years, was appointed board chairman and the board now stands at five members with three outside directors.
