GWB's post-war honeymoon with the electorate seems to be one of the shortest in history. GWB's big bounce came after 9/11 when his approval ratings were up near 90%. Given that this was his second war and not as easily understood as the first Gulf War, I would not have expected him to be able to match his father's numbers.
