Having big time problems. help pleass
system PIV, Dell, XP home 256 ram, cable modem
about two weeks ago i got a message that someone was on my system (there is no one else here nor any other machines)
i loaded zone alarm.
then the system would freeze up and i could not move the cursor. had to reboot.
now getting the following message:
shutdown initiated by NT authority system
windows must now restart because the remote procedure call (RPC) service terminated unexpectedly.
i uninstalled zone alarm.
i did a system restore to august 1st.
when i rebotted, i was told that norton NAV was no longer working and had to be re-installed.
it is still acting up.
the same shut down message has appeared twice. and shut me down.
in the last shutdown, i got the message on teh black screen that there was a keyboard failure. i am being shut down again. HELP PLEASE thxs. larry
