i quaranteened the sucker, then deleted the quarantined file. when i rebooted, my nav still was shut down. everything else seems okay, at least for now. not fun.
now, ok, lecture me about zone alarm. i shut if off because i thought it was causing the cursor to freeze. i did see a request for msblast to access the internet, and i probably granted it, since i didn't know what it was and i had just opened a program. silly me thought ms stood for microsoft. in order to know where the request is coming from, you need to have more than the free version? larry, in repentance.
