We've lost an awful lot of tech jobs forever. But, in all honesty, I never understood why someone should be paid $50,000 a year to unplug an old keyboard and plug a new one back in. Let's face it _ if my PC at works locks up, I can shut it down and reboot it just as easily as the IT guy.

Those "jobs" never would have existed in a real-market economy and were unable to justify themselves. When market forces balanced, the $50,000 a year "keyboard pluggers" were in surplus.

Ironically, now that they don't have jobs, some people blame Bush for killing Clinton's prosperity. If Clinton (or Gore) was president now, who would be subsidizing the $50,000 a year "keyboard pluggers'" salaries??????
