Colonel Hackworth was a warrior and as such means he has a type A personality but he is no idiot. True, he likely sees things ONLY from the standpoint of the battlefield and not the political nature of things. I am a little disappointed that he has gotten so public over what ought to be kept private for now but I know he feels he is doing the right thing for the troops. My personal opinion is that Sure we have made mistakes, Mistakes ALWAYS occur in a War, but we are rapidly improving and correcting past errors. Nothing we can do about the damn heat but sweat it out. Good point you made about fighting in the heat. JDN
