Jim, I think it is a little farfetched<g>

Chinese are building its navy at the moment, with a lot of help from Russia. By the time the US gets around, it would be too late. And China would never forgive the debt from the US. After all, the US gov. has so much land to sell<g>. I would go farfetched to predict that the US would have to sell plenty of its hard assets (exclude arms sale) to make ends meet in future<g>

And 30 years from now, perhaps most people who can afford to buy houses here in the US would be foreigners, believe it or not.

Islamic is not stupid either. And if they can get better deal for weapons from other countries, why they have to pay so much to get from the US?

And I am not sure about Japan, I think China will definitely stop buying so much US bond, and switch to Euro and Yen assets. The US gov. monetary policy is way too irresponsible, and only the idiots would continue to finance its spending.
