This is probably too simple to be the problem but sometimes the simple things are the easiest to overlook. You haven't by any chance hidden the columns or rows have you?
Select all the rows and columns by clicking on the box above the rows and left of the columns and then right-click the same button and choose unhide if it is blacked. If you don't see all the rows or columns make sure to double-click the resize columns vertical line and the rows line and hopefully the data will appear. You could have hidden rows or columns that way as well.
