SHANGHAI (Dow Jones)--China's stock exchange is experiencing a gold rush of sorts this month as two gold producers raise money from the public to help them better survive in an age of market reform.

Zhongjin Gold Corp., owned by China Gold Group Co., the country's largest gold-mining company, will debut on the Shanghai Stock Exchange Thursday, while Shandong Gold-Mining Co. plans to begin trading on the exchange Aug. 28.
