Disagree profoundly, by invading Afghanistan and then Iraq we demonstrated that cowardly terrorists, who attacked our people would die or be captured. In other words, justice would be served and the battle would be waged, and when you rattle this dogs cage he will bite. To do nothing but whine to the Security Council would only have invited more 9/11 events.
Terrorists who laughed after inflicting damage during the Clinton years, are no longer laughing. They are hiding, constantly changing identities, and worried the American military may come swooping down out of the sky to get them.
Fear works to deter deranged killers. Police arrest them every day around the world. Our military is simply exercising that same right in an area of the world ripe with medieval cruelty, torture, slavery and rape.
Saddam Hussein and his hooligans were nothing more than a non-sophisticated band of thugs. They had no right to rule over the decent people of Iraq and inflict them with torture, fear and death. People around the world with a conscience must act, especially when threatened, when those who are tortured and enslaved cannot.
It's just too bad so many people around the world would rather go boating, then care about the suffering of others caught in the grip of fascist tyranny. |
