Reverse your argument and you are getting closer to something that makes sense. We had good intel on Iraq so long as we had inspectors there. When we withdrew inspectors we lost our window on Iraq. Inspectors in Iraq gave us something we did not have anywhere else -- a way to keep an eye on Iraq. We did not know enough about Iraq, but we knew enough to know that Iraq was not the worst threat to our national security -- and now we know it was no threat at all. With North Korea we face the worst possible kind of threat -- and the pace and approach of our efforts there are pathetic. We need an urgent focus on North Korea -- and we need to be prepared for the worst -- a second Korean war.
