The company also expects to post fourth-quarter charges of $75 million to $100 million.

Revenue for the quarter ending in October is expected to be flat to slightly up from $1.09 billion in the third quarter, and orders are expected to be up 10 percent from $1.05 billion, the company said in a conference call with analysts and investors.

Wall Street was expecting fourth-quarter earnings of 6 cents a share, in a range of 4 cents to 10 cents a share, excluding items, according to a poll of 26 analysts by Reuters Research, a unit of Reuters Group Plc.
