Can you name another class of professional worker who we import from a nation with a lower per capita income under a "work for your citizenship" program? How about pilots those were too expensive for awhile, did we go and import all the out of work russian pilots after the cold war ended? Like I said, offshoring is cool and technology supports it. All I want is the visas to go, they are being abused and they damage the climate in software, the workforce isn't even diverse anymore. Maybe some great companies can startup in Bangalore. The US software industry needs todecouple itself from this indian trend and invent some new things, there is no incentive to come up with anything if every concept just gets sent to india.
