Since the high-ranking US officials and Bush himself largely bend to Israel’s and its supporters’ demands in major issues and often eagerly express their loyalty to that nation. So I wouldn’t put too much trust in the Boucher statement regarding the Roadmap.

Obviously Bush and the former US presidents all want to settle the Israel-Palestine issues peacefully. And Bush wants to push and install his Roadmap during his term. Unfortunately, the US president has no real control in Israel and the Middle East issues, as we can see from many evidences (Or at least I see it that way).

How the Roadmap is being formed eventually, how close or how different it will become comparing Bush’s original Roadmap lie largely in Jewish leaders themselves, and which group among them prevails, IMO.

The right-wing Zionists endeavor for a Greater Israel. Allowing a Palestinian State means placing a great obstacle on the road to their goal. So they go against the Bush Roadmap. They feel they have sufficient power(which of course including the power they have today in US) to achieve their goal. The modest Jews want peace and see the danger of the right-wing’s endeavor. They tend to support Bush’s Roadmap.

Obviously, the right wing has been in power in Israel. They are most likely to stay in power for some time. Bush's Middle East policy will continue to be affected.

My knowledge about Israel and the Middle East is a general one rather than a very deep one. So my answer to your post can only be general. Still, I hope it helps our discussion a little.
