You brought up the malfeasance thing. Enron is the poster child. The problem there is, Enron's offshore accounting and shell company game was not a product of the Democrats which you infer as the party responsible for the malfeasance.
Every economic bubble has a large amount of malfeasance circulating within. It's not a political thing as you tried to suggest.
I will give you a hint as to the cause of this go-round of malfeasance though...both parties share the blame...it was bipartisan.
In Dec 1994 some laws were passed related to the rules of corporate accounting.
Both Democrats and Republicans had an equal hand in it.
