The up tick in GLR might be associated with a comment attributed to a legal advisor to the mining industry (Jorge Neher) that "several other mining companies will also receive environmental permits this week, a requirement that has held them up for years". I can't say if GLR will be impacted by such a development. The president of CVG, a government agency, was quoted as saying that at least three big mining companies will begin developing mines with 3m-6m oz of gold by 1998. Will GLR be part of these, possibly. In any case, this will not hurt and we may not see C$8.00 again, unless of course gold goes below $300 (still possible according to several people).
