Drugs: The drug companies use the US to recoup deveolopmwent costs and sell the drugs cheaper in foreign countries. If they can't get back their development costs here, they will get them elsewhere.

I'd beg to slightly differ, at least in the case of Canada. Drugs are cheaper there because of price controls and they're not (yet, LOL) a third world country. I'd argue that US consumers are getting screwed on drug prices, at least in part, because of such price controls in foreign countries.
