First, he was acting on best information, as, I believe, was the President. Besides, I think your premise is wrong in toto. The WMDs may be buried in the desert, or in Syria, or in a system of bunkers we have never located. David Ray is promising new material on the subject soon. I will wait for his report.

Second, Elie Weisel is not just some observer, he is a Nobel Laureate who has tirelessly worked for human rights, international understanding, and, especially, issues pertaining to genocide. His motives in this are unlikely to be anything but pure. That does not mean that there were not good people on the other side of the issue, what it means is that there are other than the nasty reasons some tend to allege for supporting the overthrow of Saddam........
