Remember the Fed's job is to debase the dollar faster than Bush can debase treasuries, faster than CEOs can debase stocks and faster than the ailing job market can debase home purchasing power.

If the Fed doesn't succeed, the financial system implodes ... so they absolutely have to succeed. They'll do whatever they have to do.

The beautiful home may eventually be yours for a few ounces of gold or pounds of copper, but I suspect the number of dollars will stay mysteriously telephone number-like.
