I do not think we were fed one baloney sandwich after another, I think that we generally got good intelligence, which is, however, not perfect, and sometimes subject to dispute. I think it may be that certain things were "spun", but I do not think it was with an intention to deceive, but with a desire to make the best case available. So, supposing, which I do not, that the war was based on lies and misinformation, no, I doubt they would have supported it........ |
