So-early in Israel's history, Ben-Gurion (like Abbas) wanted peace and was fairly reasonable in his approach. Begin (like Hamas) committed terrorist acts.

Difference seems to be that Ben-Gurion actively acted against the terrorism. Arafat and Abbas have not and may not have the power to stop the terrorism. If they don't, Israel will stop it and the Road Map will have many bumps.

So what's the point. Even assuming its accuracy, it shows that moderation won out. Are you saying that moderation will win out in the Palestinian camp? If so, there is hope for peace.
