Bush's approval rating was at 56% in August 2001. It seems to be something of a 'floor' for him.


To round it out, that's about 10 points above the floor that elected him. It's a lot better than anybody would have figured two years ago. When you add to that the solid, "inch by inch" gain of the party around the country in Congress, it bodes well for a lot of years out.
