Hi X,
I still have this thread bookmarked, of course.... And I see a discussion on "bliss" , a VERY subjective word, of course that doesn't mean SQUAT in the big picture. EXCEPT to the individual and what their actions involved, to other persons and life forms in the moment.. Tragic and transient, unfortunatly, of which the perpetrators WILL HAVE to answer for..
So on page 74 of the July 7, 03 issue of the "New Yorker" is a cartoon, featuring a "Ari Fleischer" look alike, bald head and all, talking to his partner as they stand on the beach looking out at the sea.., holding hands of course..
And he says to her "What if my bliss happens to be suing people"
And I thought.. Why don't they show a picture or drawing of bush, perle, rumsfeld and cheney etal, holding hands and looking east, and saying,
"What if our bliss happens to be invading some country and taking their resources"
I don't know why that thought would enter my mind...<g> Except that I have the "news baggage" of the last year..
Take care,
