Dear Shalom,
I only recently found your "And the 7th angel sounded" thread and appreciate your sharing of God's Word...,especially concerning the false hope of the "rapture", that has so many good people fooled, and I hope that you continue to open their eyes before it is too late, because didn't God tell us in his Word that only those of us that hold out to the end will be saved?!
As painful as it must be to share the loss that you must feel in losing your son last year to the first death, I for one was reached by your testimony, and thank you, in Jesus Christ name!!!
I do not want to burden you with who I have lost and am currently going through for 3+ years, but I have said similar words about God in frustration and anguish, and the only thing that I keep coming back to in God's Word is that like Abraham,(and again in Matthew, etc.) we must love God more than our wife, son, daughter, etc...as we can see them again and spend eternity with them, IF we show God (who created us and gave us our children in the first place, etc.)that he can trust that we love him first, and then love those he created for us to be our families, friends, and neighbors! I will not quote scripture to you, as I have too much respect for your knowledge of God's Word! AS much as I miss not having a wife, and my children a mother, in addition to everything else we have lost, the only "rock" that God promised for this part of our lives, that we could completely trust, love and follow, is our Lord, Jesus Christ...what we hold onto outside of him, we will lose, but what we willingly give up, we will gain: and for eternity!:-)
Your son sounds like he was a fine role model for other Christian men, and you no longer have to worry about him getting corrupted by others in this evil world, as you know he made it to our true eternal home! :-)
But you and others that you love in this life(flesh)have not made it yet, and your work in helping others is probably not done! Now you may be able to better focus, without the worry, so that your son can again be with you, where there will be love without the frustrating and energy draining worry! You cannot lose your faith and see your son again, so please stop going down that road/path and head back on the one that leads to your son...
Warm Regards and heartfelt thanks,
Shawn |
