Sorry about intruding on your lovefest with David, but this statement indicates that you have no idea what you are talking about. There is no SS surplus. The unfunded liabilities are growing much faster than the the asset accumulation, which means that SS is running a deficit. The SS monetary assets are miniscule compared to liabilities.
