Al, You presumptuous, pompous ass...I understand enough to know that politicians on both sides have been borrowing from SS surpluses for decades and that borrowing is hastened by deficits Sorry about intruding on your lovefest with David, but this statement indicates that you have no idea what you are talking about. There is no SS surplus. The unfunded liabilities are growing much faster than the the asset accumulation, which means that SS is running a deficit. The SS monetary assets are miniscule compared to liabilities. Joe
