Al,

When I lived in Fla the supermarkets were full of septagenarians on SS working to make ends meet.

I never understood what the problem is with able bodied people continuing to work past the arbitrary "retirement age". The whole idea forcing old people to scrap heap is a new idea, and it is a bad idea.

Just think about this. Wouldn't it be wonderful if a way was found to extend life of an average American by, say 5 years, instantly? I (or any normal person) would say "great". But with the nonsense called Social Security, it would mean bankruptcy for the country.

Think about this: Health of Social Security depends on sickness and death of old people.

Joe
