It is typical, when a new executive takes over, for them to
bring their friends and associates into the organization.
Typically, they usurp the existing status quo of existing
management and the organization is in turmoil for a while as the newbies try to learn the ropes and the remaining employees try to adjust to new ideas and ways of doing things. Typically, remaining middle managers see that
there is no possibility/opportunity for promotion and move
to greener pastures and take their experience and
knowledge base with them. IMO,it will be a rocky road for
quite a while at AMAT.....lots of change.....probably necessary to some degree, but an upper management upheaval
as has occurred this summer will take some time to settle
down. BB
