I guess the answer depends on what defines your life. If bagging groceries is it, then it is a choice you have.

So you thing people who bag groceries have no life? I worked as a bus boy, messenger, cab driver, I was digging ditches, picking potatoes, and it never occurred to me that it I had no life. Thanks for letting me know.

It doesn't matter what you do, as long as you keep yourself useful and productive, if you are able boddied. That what my point was.

No one forces us to retire at 65, but no one should take that choice away from us.

I have no idea where 65 came from. It is not in the bible or the constitution. If you want a luxury of retiring at 65, I think you should work for it. But I don't think it is right to take food away from young people (who need to raise children) just to give you the luxury of retiring at 65.
