"There is no unbreakable budget that the "military" has to live with. Congress and Bush can increase or decrease that budget at will."

The statement from the "military" was that they don't have 300m a year to continue this extra pay. Everything else is the SF Bay spin. Congress can increase or decrease the military budget, not Bush.

The white house spokes person was not in a position to make a decision on what congress will or should do. Congress has not even had time to get information on the issue. Likewise, with the White House, who at best can only ask congress to give it some consideration.

"Where the rubber meets the road you're not too empathetic or too concerned about our troops, are you?"

Cheap shot, not worthy of a response. Typical of the kind of judgemental inuendo and false allegation cast toward Bush. Is loyalty to "the party" worth it...must be.
