Being an elderly, I'd like to see a return from the money taxed from me to SS equal to what I'd have gotten in free market investments. ( Which has seen the Dow Industrials go from 500 to 9000. ) I doubt the government has done as well with the money they taxed away from me.

Being a callow ;-) youth, you'd be a fool to not vote against all attempts to promulgate the SS system.

And, in my pity for future generations, I'd vote with you.

SS is just another money grab and way to increase itself, by the Govt., IMO.

I wish there'd been Roth IRAs around when I started working.

But, I doubt they'll be 'tax free' when you retire.
