I hadn't heard until you mentioned it. Seems that this sort of episode ought to make the FERC a bit skeptical about the power trader's dreams of creating massive RTOs. This problems seems to have cascaded over a vast region, certainly this ought to be considered a design flaw to be dealt with with more diversification, not further consolidation of the grid.
