They say that power should be restored by this evening EST. Trouble is, with wireless systems down, if I were stranded in the dark on a subway train with no information having gone through 9-11 as a New Yorker......I think there might be many freaking out by now.

Only a thought......I am on the left coast right above a decent surf break in Encinitas, CA. All we have here is our fruits and NUTS.....ie.....politicians and politician wannabees.
