Sorry but it all goes back to #1 Enron and Bush/Cheney secret energy meetings with Enron, and the fact that even after Enron was found guilty of fraud and manipulation, Bush and Cheney have refused to allow a roll back on those contracts and return of the illegally gotten profits (anyone seen Ken Lay, Bush's buddy with the millions of the illegally gotten profits?) #2 the tax cuts for the rich that cause states lost revenues, and #3 the most than 3 million lost jobs and record bankruptcies due to Bush's failed economic policies. No matter how you cut it, Bush has turned off the lights on American people and States. And that's the facts and nothing but the facts.

And BTW, California is NOT the only state in trouble. 35 states are in the same problem as California. What made the California budget crisis that much bigger was the Bush/Cheney/Enron fraud, manipulation and extortion, and the fact that California is the mecca of tech jobs and business and in turn the biggest hit state from the 3 million lost jobs and failed economic policies of Bush.
