A restauranteur friend of ours would dispute that the lebanese have been able to defend themselves, he is a lebanese of i think christian background, quite agnostic personally though and a thoroughly practical man .... haven't talked about this with him for years, but i recall him ranting about all the stupid tribal hatreds ... he would have arrived in Canada in the 80s, probably, not sure .... not so long ago he married a gorgeous blonde lady, quite young, very capable smart woman, they were happy together for maybe five years ... well then she got involved with some born-again cult, and he divorced her right there .... like i say, a practical man .... got to go, back later .... it would be good to run into actual muslims to talk to on the net, if you know of any feel free to invite them over .... cheers
