Why is that hypocrisy? It's staying true to your beliefs, because you think there are some things you shouldn't compromise on.
I'm sorry but they were yelling "Ahhnuld, Ahhnuld, Ahhnuld" until they started hearing some of his beliefs. Now, they have moved away from him very quietly not even mumbling their unhappiness. Why? Because they still want a Rep. governor of CA even if they hate what he stands for.

What makes you think they aren't? Dems are caught between a rock and a hard place.
Think about what the "hard place" is. It can't be electoral votes, since the Dems could easily preserve those while supporting, say, Bustamante. It can't be loyalty, or else the Dems wouldn't have abandoned Torricelli in favor of Lautenberg in NJ 2002.

Those words mean the same to the CA GOP. If the CA dems are corrupted, trust me, so are the CA Reps. Unlike other states, there's not a lot of difference between Dems and Reps in CA.
