Good point. I think it is a mistake. I think they are perplexed as to why the issues of WMD and economy were being met with apathy. Then, Dean struck a cord, and the rest came running. If the economy recovers, Bush has a lock, because Dean can't beat Bush unless there is more visible egg on the neocon position.

I'm of the opinion that Bush will win, and then like with Watergate, the truth will come out midterm. Powell will resign to try to keep his reputation intact, and a few more neocons will be thrown on swords. IMHO.
