Why do all the islands have the word key in their name?
Key is another way of spelling Cay, which means small island... Cat Cay, Cayman Islands, and so on... my wife and I go to the Keys and to Key West frequently, we live in Fort Lauderdale... Key West is very commercial, lots of sea food, T shirts, very caribbean... on the wharf (Mallory Square) every evening there are hundreds of people watching the jugglers, mimes, clowns, Houdini escape artists, and so on... when you're there, be sure to enjoy the conch fritters and have hot sauce with them, wash it all down with a Corona... there are lots of hotels everywhere, and many bed and breakfast houses... we stay at the Hilton right on the wharf... if you have any questions, just ask...
Have a great time...<g>
