Well, I'd feel safer if Ashcroft had less power and Tom Ridge had more money. For example, airport security is still an absolute joke. I heard on the Bill Maher show that you can still send something air cargo, and it doesn't get inspected? Jeez, doesn't that seem, how do I say it, a little...incredibly dumb?

Internationally, I personally feel no safer with the Iraq situation, Afghanistan going nowhere fast, and bin Laden/Omar/Saddam still on the loose.

Paradise lost, indeed.
