Cavuto is definitely not the correct comparison for Krugman. Cavuto is a tv business correspondent; best compared with someone with a different political point of view on the same issues. Unfortunately, that's an empty box. There used to be a guy who debated economic policy on CNBC with Larry Kudlow, whose name escapes me, that might be comparable. To compare economic analysis and prescriptions with Krugman, you need to find someone of comparable stature among economists, perhaps Milton Friedman. Seems to me that Friedman wrote columns for a while.
