Thomas, My take is a little off I guess. I know the system needs to be upgraded; everything new. But heck, so does everything else such as roads, schools, my car, and my house! The failure in the system was the fact that a failure in Ohio blew NY off the map. SCADA isn't rocket science. Someone blew it in management and a peon (technician) somewhere will be blamed. I hope a definitive explanation will be presented regardless of politics, unions, or financial concerns. More bloated management (Fed govt) is not the answer. Steve
